To our valued Delta Dental Patients

After much consideration, we have made the decision to exit the standard Delta Dental PPO network.  We will still be in network with Delta Dental PPO, but will be in a different network tier.  We will still accept Delta Dental PPO and your Delta insurance can be billed for any services we provide.

For most patients this will have no effect on your preventive care through Delta. Every plan is individualized but for most this would most likely have no change in out of pocket expense for preventive care.  For restorative dental care this may mean an increase of 5-15%.

The standard Delta Dental PPO network has chosen to not increase our reimbursement rates for over 10 straight years.  In the meantime equipment, materials, and staffing cost has increased.  Covid-19 has made it completely impossible to continue to treat our patients in a safe and healthy environment at the current reimbursement rate.  We have reduced the number of patients that can be seem at one time while also ensuring our staff is equipped with the proper protective equipment to keep patients and themselves safe.

Our goal will always be to ensure we can provide trustworthy, healthy, and safe care for our patients.  We will continue to be part of the standard Delta Dental PPO until July 17, 2020.  We hope to continue to be your dental health care provider for many years in the future.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause for those affected by this change.  Please be safe and well and do not hesitate to reach out to our office if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,
Dr. James Tran

COVID-19 UPDATE

Dear Patients,

Our top priority is the health and well-being of our patients, families, staff and community. In this unprecedented time, we are deeply committed to keeping everyone safe.

In light of the evolving pandemic and out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to limit patient treatment due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our office is heeding recommendations to voluntarily suspend non-urgent dental care until further notice from the California Dental Association. We believe that this shift will allow us to more effectively evaluate this dynamic situation and assist in following the CDC's guidance on social separation.

If you have an appointment scheduled with us this week or next, our office will be in touch to help reschedule your appointment.

Dr. Tran will be on call in the event of a dental emergency. Should you require urgent dental care, please call our office at (805)495-7064 as you normally would.

We did not make this decision lightly. A great deal of care, research and planning guided our decision. We will continue to evaluate the situation as it evolves and determine on a weekly basis when it is appropriate for us to return to our normal business hours.

Again, please understand that we are making this decision with the health and well-being of our patients, our families, our team and our community in mind.

We wish all of you continued health and strength during this challenging time.

Sincerely,
Dr. James Tran and Staff
